Hello, I just want to thank you for having this newsletter. It makes me think of the “old” days at Wheatley. Judge Engoron, I just want you to know that you have a lot of support and admire how you handled the “trial”. We wish you the best and keep up the good work.
Hi Art. I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Runestead's passing. I have fond memories of him helping me pass my much hated biology class. Thank you for always keeping us graduates in the know.
I am very sorry to read about the passing of Les Runestad. He was always a favorite teacher of mine. He was nice, intelligent, and humorous. What a life! I never could have guessed.
I am writing to let you know of my lasting appreciation for your father now, 53 years after my class with him. Your father “got me“. I was a hyperactive high school freshman with reported “potential“. I remember your dad‘s easy smile, his sense of humor and his obvious enthusiasm for earth science. He was infectious. Long story short, today I’m an orthopedic surgeon with gratitude for the mentors, such as your father who set me on my path. I thought it important to apprise you of one more of his lasting legacies.

I have worked on 2 reunions for the class of ‘65 with Hank Alpert, Ken Katz and Malcolm McNeill. They were great fun and reconnected many old friends.
