In response to Judy Bregman (1967) "Wheatley Whiskey"
I was just wondering what the response would have been back in 1959 when we were allowed then to bring the juice containers that they sold then in the vending machines into class that were spiked with my bottle of vodka that was hidden in my locker and used by many good student with a smile ! I properly would have felt more at ease then if i had this back then ? (HA)
Thank you, Art, for my continuing connection to Wheatley ♥️ I enjoy reading every issue of the newsletter, and I am looking forward to greeting my classmates in October. 50 years after graduating, I still remember La Fontaine’s “La cigale et la fourmi” — and had a proud moment today in Oaxaca, reciting it from memory and then translating it on the fly to my Spanish class, in Spanish! Gratitude to my excellent Wheatley French teachers who made us memorize. 😍
