A Great Reunion - Well-Organized - Well-Attended - Fun
The Wheatley School Class of 1975 had a 50th-Year Reunion the weekend of Friday, October 10 to Sunday, October 12, 2025. The Reunion Committee, chaired by Robert Vincze, included Mark Harvey, Jeff Karasyk, Toni Buckner LaPietra, Amy Rothbaum Patalano, Rick Biancavilla, and Linda LaPasta Kiley.
The Friday events were a tour of the Willets Road School that approximately 30 classmates attended and a dinner at the Barefoot Peddler in Greenvale, New York.
The Saturday events were a Soccer Team Reunion with Coach Bernie Hintz and The Wildcat Reunion Band performing in the Wheatley Cafeteria, to which all classes were invited (and some attended);

On Friday, October 10th, the Wheatley Class of 1975 toured the Willets Road School.

On Saturday, beloved Wheatley Soccer Coach Bernie Hintz met with a dozen of his former soccer players in the Wheatley School lobby. A review of the 1974 season and our loss to Garden City in the playoffs was discussed. Coach Hintz brought along the scorebook from the 1974 season. He also attend the main event on Sunday

Saturday Afternoon - The Wildcat Reunion Band
The Wildcat Reunion Band featured Mark Lubin on guitar, Susan Rotholz on flute and vocals, Toni Buckner LaPietra on keyboards and vocals, Michael Sadowsky on drums and vocals and Joe Spallina (Mahopac High School 1973) on bass and vocals. Steven Starr, looking for all the world like Billy Joel, sung the Allman Brothers classic “Whipping Post”. Richard Tanner provided hilarious stand-up comedy. Art Engoron (1967) described when he first realized that he was getting old.
