Thank you again for the fabulous newsletters. I read each one as soon as it hits my inbox. I just want to add a comment about Joe Orr. He was an incredible appliance repair person. My dad used to get him to call us back by leaving most of a joke on his answering machine tape. “I’ll tell you the punchline when you come,” dad would say. Joe always came but one would never know exactly when. You just had to be home when he got there.
Hi 👋 Good Tidings to ALL-I laugh everyone Northside or Downing St is mentioned. My youngest brother still resides in Our Family Home with his wife Anna & my Beautiful Niece Emma who attends Wheatley!!! And just won the Gold in volleyball in a 15 year break!!! I too having five brothers was always at Northside,as a child I was a tomboy & was on the roof AND jumped on a nail getting off-I was friends with the janitor Tiny & spent most of my time there! All the kids played stick ball-and ALL sorts of games-along with crushes & giggles with the boys who wore those green parka coats-that was my summer camp b4 we went out to Hampton Bays for the summer-my father would drop us off stay for a week come pick us up and stay for a week! Memories!!!!!! Thx 😊
Thinking of my sister Bonnie Glassman Crohn on her birthday 4/20..I believe she was in your graduating class Art. She is dearly missed!
